Level 7: Thalassophobia
Discover Level 7, a dark endless ocean regarded as one of the most unsettling levels in the Backrooms.
Description
Level 7, known as "Thalassophobia", is a vast dark ocean stretching endlessly in every direction.
Most explorers arrive on a small platform or inside a partially flooded room before being confronted by the immense surrounding waters. The ceiling is extremely high and quickly vanishes into darkness.
The water appears calm on the surface, but numerous dangers may lurk beneath. Explorers have reported seeing enormous silhouettes moving through the depths, sometimes only a few meters below them.
Resources are nearly nonexistent and escape routes are extremely limited. The combination of loneliness, darkness, and fear of the unknown makes this level psychologically exhausting.
Level 7 is often considered one of the most terrifying Backrooms levels because of its oppressive atmosphere and overwhelming sense of isolation.
