Level 9: The Dark Suburbs

Level 9 is a vast residential district trapped in permanent nighttime. The level consists of an apparently endless network of roads, sidewalks, and detached houses resembling a typical American suburb. Despite their familiar appearance, the buildings are usually empty and silent. Streetlights function inconsistently, leaving long stretches of road in complete darkness. Explorers frequently report feeling watched even when no visible presence can be identified. The primary danger comes from the numerous entities roaming the dark streets. Hounds, Skin-Stealers, and other hostile creatures are often spotted from a distance before disappearing back into the shadows. The feeling of isolation is particularly intense. Streets seem to repeat endlessly, making it easy to lose all sense of direction after only a few hours of exploration.
