Flight 19 refers to a training mission involving five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers of the United States Navy that mysteriously disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean on December 5, 1945. On that day, fourteen aviators departed from the Naval Air Station in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to carry out a routine navigation exercise off the American coastline.

Shortly after the flight began, the squadron leader reported navigation problems and stated that he could no longer determine his exact position.
